Boardwalk Apartments

My first (and only) built project inspired by Mies van der Rohe looks to his first built high-rise at Lafayette Park (Detroit) and to the early infill methods of his Promontory Apartments and i60 Lake Shore Drive rather than to his later more sophisticated skinning techniques, which are ultimately so influential on the American tall building.  With both the super-structure and the individual framed openings organized as a kind of homage to the square and the solar bronze glass and duranodic sash golden-sectionized, the whole is thought contextually to be a study in Chicago good taste.
