One of the primary goals of this design was to symmetrically order the site. The focal point of the complex is a new administration building — a perfect cube of twenty-nine meters situated upon a plinth. Centered on a square defined by a pergola with water flowing beneath it, the building is rotated on the site and cleaved to symbolize the separation of production and administration. The east/west axis cuts through the building.
Through the glazed surfaces of the bifurcated halves, the dynamic of each interior is thus revealed, and the functions of the building that are split in two by the program are revealed to each other. Those who represent the company and thus interact with the outside world on its behalf occupy one half, while those who operate the company technically and managerially occupy the other. Access from one side to the other occurs through the elevator which rides in the slot.
