Metal and Glass House

An uneasy merging of the well-known machine esthetic with off-the-shelf components, this all-computerized house hoses down unwelcome guests who do not properly identify themselves.  Programmed to have a remote-controlled robot laundry cart moving along a prescribed radio-monitored path, the entire system de-programs with suburban voltage irregularity.  Looking for all the world as though there had been a change in the zoning, this not-very-suburban house coyly winks back to Leo Marx’s harrowing Machine-in-the-Garden imagery.
